Our History
Premium Value Life Insurance Services was founded in 1998 and has grown into a national business serving over 20,000 consumers and growing everyday. Brian J. Bibb is the founder and president. This forward thinking and client-centered company was founded on the premise that most people do not have the proper facts regarding life insurance before they buy and this causes them to pay way too much for a product that is actually very inexpensive when you remove all the unnecessary expenses that most life insurance companies like to charge. In many cases consumers can actually profit from their life insurance without incurring any excessive cost.
After having 3 successful years as a life insurance agent something happened that caused me to alter my views and I decided that there was a much better way to serve consumers in the life insurance market. (It took me 3 years to realize the poor deal most consumers were getting compared to what was available to them).
Like most salesman I was heavily biased towards what I was selling and I believed that the commissions I was earning were totally justified because I was bringing value to my clients. Like most I was a sales-centered professional.
That all changed when I decided to look into purchasing a new life insurance policy for myself. I was very familiar with most of the highly rated companies and even though I didn't really think I would buy from anyone I didn't represent I wanted to see what was out there. Mainly, I was just curious to see how good a deal I could get.
I looked online and spoke to many companies about buying directly from them and what I found out was life changing for me. I will admit that most of the "low-rate" policies sold online amounted to nothing once I took a closer look but I did discover what companies truly offered the most value for the best prices.
These companies could provide the same quality policies and service that I could but they were doing it for half the cost to consumers or more. The companies were highly rated, the policies were solid and contained everything a good policy does, and the rates were the best available. They truly operated with the client's best interest in mind and placed agent commissions and the company bottom line secondary. They realized that by focusing on this their bottom line actually improves even more.
To make a long story short, I realized that my clients were not getting the best value they could and a big part of that was because the commissions I was earning were being paid by them, and I was working for what is considered to be the best insurer in the business. I asked myself, "If I truly have my clients' best interests at heart then why am I selling clients policies that I wouldn't buy for myself?" The answer to that question is what gave me the idea to found a truly client-centered business and truly be a client-centered professional.
I have to tell you that I was told many times that this would not work and that my success would be very limited at best. Many times I heard "This is the way it's always been done and you shouldn't try to reinvent the wheel. Besides, you're making a lot of commission." Well, I know providing good service and good value never fails regardless of the business you are in. That has proven to be true with Premium Value Life Insurance Services because providing Premium Value is exactly what we do and the proof lies with the new customers we have everyday. To our knowledge we are the only successful firm dealing exclusively with life insurance on a fee-only basis.
